About Me

Hello people of the Internet! My name is Alyssa Pereira and this is my blog. Here you will find my thoughts on hot topic issues in student affairs, as well as my personal experiences in the industry. Now, I am by no means an expert right now, but I am hoping to work my way there.

Who am I? That is a great question. I am a girl who was born and raised in the PNW. I am a West Coast girl through and through. Seattle is where I have called home for the last 21 years, however, I have added a second home in Fargo, ND. Yes, you read correctly; this West Coast girl decided to take a hiatus and move to the Mid West. Why you ask? Why not! I needed an adventure and a way to push myself out of my bubble so I moved to Fargo to attend North Dakota State University. I am currently a Public Relations and International Studies major, and will be graduating at the end of this school year (Spring 2018). NDSU will forever hold a piece of my heart, but boy am I ready to be done! That being said, I still have quite a few years left of school. I plan on attending graduate school where I will study Student Affairs and Higher Education. I love Student Affairs, thanks to some amazing professionals who have shown me this incredible path, and I cannot wait to start my career in it.
